Peak performer in power generation –
the new GT 36 Ansaldo gas turbine
At the top of “Monte Bianco” with Freudenberg filtration systems in action
“Monte Bianco” (Mont Blanc) is the nickname of the brand new H Class GT 36 gas turbine, which was presented by Ansaldo Energia in November 2020 and then brought from the Genoa production site to Porto Marghera (VE) in Italy, where it will power the combined cycle power plant of the Italian electric power and gas producer Edison. “Monte Bianco” named for its power because it is considered to be the most powerful performing turbine ever made in Italy. In addition, it should reduce CO2 emissions by 40 % and nitrogen oxide emissions by more than 70 % compared to the average of the Italian thermoelectric installed base.
Powerful, sustainable air intake filtration solutions from Freudenberg Filtration Technologies
Boldrocchi, a referenced manufacturer and supplier of gas turbine, turbomachinery and compressor auxiliaries for the largest OEM’s has chosen filtration concepts from Freudenberg Italy and Germany for the turnkey air intake system of this H class turbine. With Freudenberg's filtration solutions the mega turbine is protected against dust, salt particles and ingress of water droplets ensuring reliability and the highest possible efficiency.
“We are very proud to have been awarded the filtration system for this mega project. This shows us that the standards of our filters are recognized and meet the highest quality requirements. Together with the suppliers we contribute to a reduced ecological footprint in power generation. ” The Freudenberg Filtration Technologies team members in Italy and Germany
