In order to meet the required supply and room air qualities, air filters of different filter classes and designs are combined to form two- or multi-stage systems. In a plant situation with limited installation space, concepts with a 2-in-1 filter solution are ideal. This is where Viledon modular filter systems prove their worth. Thanks to the modular clip-on plug-in system, various Viledon filter types with different filter efficiencies can be combined as single modules. In this way, a further filter stage can be easily added without taking up much space.

Base filter and clip-on filter can be flexibly connected with each other
- For installation, the base filter equipped with black connecting pins is inserted into the existing mounting frame system.
- Equipped with connection caps, the clip-on filter can then be easily attached to the installed base filter.
- The pins anchored in the basic filter can no longer be detached. The attached prefilter can be removed and replaced as required, and when the final pressure differential is reached.
- Viledon pocket filters can also be used as basic filters, but are not equipped with connecting pins. They can be connected to a hydroMaxx or hydroPack prefilter using an adapter plate.

Example 1
Upgrade a 1-stage to a 2-stage filter system with a hydroMaxx clip-on filter in the first filter stage.
Advantage:
2-in-1 upgrade of the system without modification. The modular clip-on system provides a space-saving solution where installation space is limited. A system combination with the hydroMaxx coalescer prefilter offers additional protection against moisture, wetness or icing.
Example 2
Upgrade a 2-stage to a 3-stage filter system with clip-on in the first filter stage. A hydroMaxx prefilter is clipped onto a MaxiPleat cassette filter. This is followed by an eMaxx cassette filter, for example, in the third filter stage.
Advantage:
2-in-1 upgrade of the system without modification in stage 1. The two existing filter stages become three filter stages, even with limited installation space. In filter stage 1, the hydroMaxx prefilter protects the downstream stages against coarse dust and moisture. Filter stage 3 can be upgraded to EPA ultra-fine filtration level.
Example 3
Upgrade a 2-stage to a 3-stage filter system with clip-on in the second filter stage. An existing pocket filter in the prefilter stage is followed by a MaxiPleat cassette filter (reverse) in stage 2, which is clipped onto another cassette filter (Viledon MaxiPleat or NanoPleat in stage 3).
Advantage: 2-in-1 upgrade of the plant without modification. Two filter stages become three filter stages, even with limited installation space. Filter stage 3 can be upgraded to EPA ultra-fine filtration level.
