Viledon Depth-Loading Filter Cartridges

Viledon depth-loading cartridges are used in supply air filtration systems for turbomachinery both on and off-shore. They are particularly successful, whenever the cleaning of surface-loading filter cartridges does not produce any effective reduction in pressure drop, because the dust concentrations are too low and/or the dusts concerned are too sticky.

In the latest depth-loading filter cartridges generation, which is the GTG and TFP 98 series of filter class F9 in broad conformity with EN 779, innovative high-strength synthetic micro-glassfiber nonwovens or hybrid-synthetic nanofiber (HSN) nonwovens made of water-repellent synthetic-organic fibers meet the toughest of filtration requirements. In conjunction with the rigid construction of the pleat pack these media achieve high particle arrestance, high dust holding capacity and low pressure drops. This results in extremely cost-efficient operation. Thanks to the high stability of the pleat geometry, the pleats will not collapse even at high pressure drops. Viledon depth-loading filter cartridges provide an optimized ratio between filtering area, pleat depth and number of pleats. They are 100% moisture-resistant, and temperature-resistant up to 70°C.

* Contrary to the standard, the cartridge is installed in the test channel using an adapter, which fits the cylindrical cartridge into the rectangular test channel. Test volume flow rate 1,100 m³/h, dust load 200 g (GTG), final pressure drop 800 Pa.

Special feature: Viledon depth-loading filter cartridges provide troublefree performance also under critical environmental conditions. Empirical feedback from actual installations has shown that even at low temperatures and simultaneous high humidity there is neither any significant increase in pressure drop nor any ice blocking (Performance of TFP 60 operated in a turbomachine).
